How to guide: Coastal Christmas tree decoration

The Crew at Our Boat House created this lovely "Vintage Ocean" inspired Christmas tree. We posted the steps to create your own, along with a shopping guide to get these great coastal ornaments.

Here's how you can create a coastal Christmas tree like the Crew at Our Boat House.

Step1: Light up your tree with strands of Christmas lights.
Step 2: Add lighted twig garland or branches.
Step 3: Wrap your tree in rope garland, applying loosely.
Step 4: Hang large silver bell garlands from top of tree cascading down.
Step 5: Put Nautical lantern on for your tree topper. If your tree topper is heavy and needs to be  secured tightly you should put it on before you add your loose ornaments.
Step 6: Add large bell ornaments.
Step 7: Hang the cluster silver bells and cluster gold bells.
Step 8: Hang vintage style whale ornaments.
Step 9: Put on mini copper lanterns.
Step 10: Add glass and rope balls.
Step 11:Hang ship diorama ornaments.
Step 12: Hang whale diorama ornaments.
Step 13: Place the sea fan branches in the top of the tree surrounding the tree topper lantern.
Step 14: Surround the base of the tree with jute netting to create your coastal tree skirt.
Step 15: Final touches- we added these adorable old wood block letters spelling Boat House.

Happy Holidays from Our Boat House to yours.
